I love Pinterest and have a few pictures I want you to re-create. Will you do that?
Here's my philosophy: You are paying me to provide a service to you..I'm here to do what you want! You want a huge group shot of the entire bridal party jumping? Sure! That one picture that's gone viral with the dinosaur chasing everyone down? Just ask! IT'S YOUR DAY. These are YOUR PICTURES! Though I'll, of course, put a little of "my style" into it. And also, my ps skills aren't that amazing..so maybe not that one dinosaur picture, lol!

I want to get all the photos done before the ceremony, but my fiance is traditional and doesn't want to see me before the wedding. What can I say to convince him that this is what we should do?

I can completely understand the sentiment behind it. He wants to see you for the first time as you're walking down the aisle when all eyes are on you. But, what most people don't know is that this "tradition" was actually the result of having arranged marriages. Couples didn't even meet their spouse until that very moment. With our "First Look" session the day of your wedding, you will both have your moment to see each other, only there will be just two other sets of eyes on you...as opposed to your entire invitation list. And, while I completely prefer to get as many photos as possible finished before the ceremony, whatever choice you ultimately decide upon is yours to make and we will take great care in making sure everything happens the way you want it to. But if you think you can convince him, try really hard! just kidding :)

How important is it to hire someone to do hair & make-up?
It's your wedding day! The day that you should feel and look the most beautiful and you definitely want that to show in your pictures. I've been to a lot of weddings with brides who have and have not hired someone to do hair and makeup and I can tell you, that if you have to cut back anywhere, don't do it there (or on the photography, of course!). These people are trained professionals who know what works best as well as what lasts the longest. And wedding days are long days! You should look perfect throughout the entire event. They are worth every penny you will spend. Just make sure to hire seasoned professionals who have great client reviews and you'll be able to sit back and relax on your big day knowing that you are in safe hands.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

For my ninth birthday, all I wanted was a camera. I didn't know anything about them, but I wanted one so badly. My parents gave me a Concord 110 pocket camera that I think was neon yellow or orange. I took pictures of everything. I was lucky if anything was ever in focus or if people had their heads included in the image! But I kept on and every couple of years I'd ask for a new camera.

I didn't ever dream of being a photographer for a living until I was in my late twenties. I worked in business and wanted to go to nursing school. But somewhere along the way, I realized how much I love taking pictures for people and giving them something beautiful and tangible that they can hold onto to remember the best parts of their lives. I've been in business now for six years and I absolutely love what I do!

I always bring an amazing second shooter with me to every wedding so there's double the chance that we won't miss a single memory. We're pretty laid back and do our best to bring out all the beauty and romance of your day in our images.

I can't wait to be there for you on your wedding day and capture all your special moments that will be a part of your family for generations to come!
