What I liked best about Maggie Coursey Photography:
Advice for brides who are wedding planning:
adrian & jonathan
"I had something on my face during the entire ceremony and realized it while I was standing at the altar. I had to take care of that the second we walked out of the sanctuary! Every bride should look in a mirror before walking down the aisle. Haha!"
"Don't be like me!! I freaked out over silly stuff when it didn't matter. Chill because that's the reason you did all that hard work planning. Everything will fall into place as it should. And the things that you think "go wrong" no one notices... Maggie was a little bit of a stress reliever for me. She kept her calm and knew the exact words to say when she saw my redhead levels go up!"
"I LOVE how she continued to keep me focused throughout the day. She made little comments that really stuck out to me and helped me compose myself! And I loved that!!! She was soooooooo composed. Dealing with a bridezilla, I don't know how she managed it. In such a high stressed time she was BEYOND calm and collective and was so extremely professional. She showed absolutely no signs of weakness. I feel like right from the beginning she figured out how to deal with me... I'm very difficult, bossy, and want things my way (sadly)... She totally accepted and proceeded with me/us. Right from the start she was the most perfect, beautifully redheaded photographer for us!! Maggie was amazing! Rated #1 photographer and we look forward to having her shoot us again!!!

Schedule a hair and makeup trial at least a month before your wedding. This will give you peace of mind to know exactly how you will look and give you the opportunity to change things in advance if necessary. Make sure to bring all jewelry to the trial to see how makeup shades work with the pieces.
Assign a close-friend or family member to be your go-to person for the day. You will undoubtedly be asked a million questions by so many different people. Being able to refer them to someone else will alleviate a ton of stress.
Find out what the rules for photographs are at the ceremony location. All venues are different, some restricting the location of photographs and even the times in which they are permitted.
Consider having all formal photographs taken before the ceremony. Getting this step out of the way early in the day frees up the rest of your time to spend with your guests. You will be able to go straight to cocktail hour and catch up with loved ones without stress. Its a new age, so its no longer considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding.
Have food delivered to your getting ready location. It may be hectic, but take the time to have a bite before the wedding since it will be a while before you have the opportunity to eat during the reception.
Prepare an emergency bridal kit with clear nail polish, mints, a sewing kit, stain treater, Visine, safety pins, bobby pins, hairspray, pain reliever and mini deodorant.
Allowing 50% more time for hair and makeup than you originally anticipated alleviates the number one reason wedding schedules end up running late. This will assure you have plenty of time for all the portraits you want to take before the wedding.
If you want people to dance during the reception, make sure your DJ is also a master of ceremonies and knows how to get people out of their seats. Most people need someone to push them out of their comfort zone and a really good DJ will do just that.
